Chewy Chocolate Cookies
Chewy Chocolate Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. butter or oleo, softened, 2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla extract and 2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In large mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in peanut butter or chocolate chips. Drop teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 9 minutes.
(Do not overbake.
Cookies will be soft. They will puff while baking and flatten while cooking.) Cool slightly. Remove cookie wire rack.
Cool completely. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
