Chess Pie
Chess Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 tbsp. (3/4 stick) margarine or butter, 1 1/4 c. granulated sugar, 1/2 c. (about 6 large) egg yolks, 1 c. evaporated milk and 1/8 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream together the margarine and sugar.
Add egg yolks gradually and beat well.
Add flour and salt mixture alternately with evaporated milk.
Mix on low speed while adding vanilla and mix.
Pour filling into a 9-inch pie shell.
Bake approximately one hour at 300° or until set in center.
If not brown enough, turn up to 350° for a few minutes.
