Chess Cake
Chess Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yellow cake mix, 1/2 c. butter/margarine (1 stick), melted, 4 eggs, 1 pkg. cream cheese (8 oz.) and 1 tsp. almond extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Preheat oven to
350Β°. Combine yellow cake mix, butter and 1 egg in a mix well.
Pat down into an even layer in a 13 x
9 x 2-inch baking dish.
Beat cream cheese in a medium size bowl until fluffy; beat in the remaining 3 eggs and almond extract.
In sugar smooth.
Spread cheese mixture over cake mixture in pan. Bake for 50 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut in rectangles to serve. (Cake will sink in middle.)
