Cheesy Rice-Beef Bake
Cheesy Rice-Beef Bake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1 c. long grain rice, 2 tbsp. butter, 3 c. water and 1 c. shredded carrots or corn, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cook beef, drain and set aside.
Brown uncooked rice in butter in a large skillet. Stir in water, carrots or corn, beef bouillon, parsley, onion, salt and basil. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Stir in browned beef.
Put in a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Cover and bake at 325Β° for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes longer.
