Cheese Wafers
Cheese Wafers is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 8 oz. (2 c.) shredded extra sharp cheese, 1 c. self-rising flour, 1/4 tsp. cayenne and 8 to 10 drops tabasco, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cream butter and cheese together.
Add rest of ingredients and mix well.
Shape into long rolls with a diameter about the size of a half dollar.
Wrap in wax paper or plastic wrap.
Chill in refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.
Slice thin and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 15 minutes, until golden.
This freezes well.
Dough may be kept in the fridge for 2 to 3 weeks.
