Cheese Wafers
Cheese Wafers is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 oz. grated cheddar cheese (room temperature), 1/2 c. margarine (room temperature), 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper and 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Combine all ingredients, except pecans, to make a soft dough. Form into 2 rolls.
Wrap in waxed paper and place in refrigerator or freezer.
When ready to bake, remove from freezer; thaw 10 minutes.
Cut into thin slices; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Top each with a pecan half.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove to rack to cool.
