Cheese and Mushrooms
Cheese And Mushrooms is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. diced celery, 2 c. (8 oz.) sharp cheddar cheese, 2 eggs, 1/4 c. diced onion and 3 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Saute onions and celery in butter; add mushrooms and cook until tender.
In greased casserole (2-quart), layer half of the bread, half the mushroom mix and the cheese.
Repeat the layers with the other half of the bread, mushroom mix and cheese.
Beat eggs, milk and seasonings.
Pour evenly over bread mix.
Bake in a 375Β° oven for 45 minutes.
