Cavalier Cake
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Melt morsels over hot water and set aside to cool.
Sift together flour,
baking powder and salt; set aside.
Blend shortening and sugar.
Beat in egg yolks, 1 at a time, with vanilla and melted chocolate.
Stir in flour mixture alternately with milk.
Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry.
Fold into batter.
Pour into 2 (9-inch) cake pans.
Bake 50 to 55 minutes at around 350Β°.
This cake will come out in 40 minutes.
Ice with your favorite homemade chocolate icing.
