Caraway Bacon Rice
Caraway Bacon Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 slices bacon, 1/3 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped, 1 small clove garlic and 3 c. cooked rice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cook bacon in a large skillet over low heat until crisp. Drain.
Add 1 tablespoon bacon grease to skillet.
Add onion to skillet and cook until soft.
Add green pepper and garlic.
Cook until pepper is crisp-tender.
Stir in rice, sauerkraut and caraway seed.
Heat thoroughly.
Add crumbled bacon and season to taste.
Makes 6 servings.
