πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ Instructions

The pie shell may be prepared while the condensed milk is cooking.

Put the unopened can of milk into a large enough saucepan to be able to cover it entirely with water, leaving a good inch of water over the top of the can.

Start with lukewarm water, with the can in the water, and bring to a slow boil.

Maintain a gentle boil for two hours.

Warning

Do not let the water boil down to the level of the can or boil out of the pot!

Since the can is sealed, if the water level falls, the contents of the can will be heated enough to cause it to explode if this happens.

However, as long as the can is covered by water, the temperature will go no higher than the boiling water which is 212Β°.
