Caramel Dumplings
Caramel Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 c. boiling water, 2 tsp. vanilla, 2 tbsp. margarine and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cook 1/2 cup sugar in electric skillet, stirring constantly until golden brown.
Slowly add water, remaining sugar, vanilla and 2 tablespoons margarine.
Boil until all ingredients are dissolved. Mix last 6 ingredients together and drop by tablespoon in boiling liquid.
Cover and cook for 15 minutes on a medium to low heat. Serve hot or cold.
Excellent with vanilla ice cream.
