In heavy, large pot, stir and cook sugar, Karo and water to 290Β° on candy thermometer.
Add butter, soda and salt; stir, then pour over popped corn and toss until well coated.
Spread on waxed paper to cool.
Break apart into pieces and store in airtight container.
