Calumet Baking Powder Corn Bread
Calumet Baking Powder Corn Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. yellow corn meal, 1/2 c. boiling water, 2 c. all-purpose flour, 4 level tsp. salt and 3 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Pour boiling water over corn meal and let stand until cool. Sift flour together with baking powder and salt.
Beat eggs until light and add them to corn meal, then add milk, flour and melted butter.
Beat until the batter is smooth.
Pour into a shallow, well-greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake in a 450Β° oven for 25 minutes. Makes 8 to 10 generous servings.
