Cajun French Cabbage Rolls
Cajun French Cabbage Rolls is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. chopped onions, 1 1/2 c. chopped celery, 1/4 lb. oleo, 1 c. cooked cabbage and 1 c. cooked rice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Brown ground beef and drain.
Add onions, celery and garlic and cook until wilted.
Remove 12 outer leaves from cabbage; parboil these for 15 minutes.
Drain and set aside; cut up center of cabbage (not the core) to equal 1 cup.
Cook until tender and add to meat mixture with 1 teaspoon tomato paste.
Add rice; mix and stuff cabbage leaves.
Secure with toothpicks.
