Cabbage Patch Stew
Cabbage Patch Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 onions, 2 c. finely chopped celery, 1 large can stewed tomatoes, 1 can sauerkraut and 1 can kidney beans, rinsed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Coarsely chop onions and cut Big Franks into 1-inch pieces. Saute onions and celery in small amount of oil until tender.
Stir in canned tomatoes and tomato paste.
Add cabbage and sauerkraut and cook on low until tender.
May add water as needed.
Stir frequently and add beans and Big Franks.
Add seasoning to taste. Serve with mashed potatoes.
