Cabbage Casserole
Cabbage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 onion, chopped, 1/2 c. celery, chopped or 1 1/2 tbsp. celery flakes, 1 tbsp. butter, 3 to 4 c. cabbage, coarsely chopped and 1 to 2 tbsp. pimiento, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Saute onion, celery and butter; add cabbage.
Cover and cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring once or twice. After cabbage is cooked, add pimientos and soup; stir together. Pour into a 1-quart casserole dish.
Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
Yields 4 servings.
