Cabbage Casserole
Cabbage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large cabbage, shredded, 1 onion, chopped, 6 tbsp. butter or margarine, divided, 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup (undiluted) and 8 oz. processed american cheese, cubed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cook cabbage in boiling water until tender; drain well.
In a large skillet, saute onion in 5 tablespoons butter until tender. Add soup and mix well.
Add cheese; heat and stir until melted. Remove from heat; stir in cabbage, salt and pepper.
Put in a 9 x 13-inch glass dish.
