Butterscotch Cookies
Butterscotch Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 2/3 c. brown sugar, 1 egg, 1 1/3 c. sifted all-purpose flour and 3/4 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan; add sugar and mix well.
Add egg; beat until light colored.
Sift flour with soda.
Stir into egg mixture.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Chill.
Roll in small balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375Β° for 7 to 10 minutes. Remove at once.
Makes 3 dozen.
