Butterscotch Brownies
Butterscotch Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick margarine, 2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 2 eggs, well beaten, 1 1/2 c. flour and 2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

In a medium saucepan melt margarine and brown sugar over low heat and bring to bubble stage.
Continue cooking for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add eggs (all at one time), stirring rapidly. If lumps occur, return to heat and continue to beat.
Add dry ingredients and stir.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Pour into a greased 8 x 12-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 18 minutes.
Cool and cut into squares.
