Buttermilk Pound Cake

Cream Crisco and sugar; beat well.
Add one egg yolk at a time.
Beat well after each egg.
Add milk and flour.
Add about 1/3 of each at a time.
Beat well after adding each one.
Begin with flour and end with flour.
Add vanilla; beat well.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold into mixture.
Bake in tube pan, greased and floured, in oven at 350Β° for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
