Buttermilk Chocolate Bread
Buttermilk Chocolate Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. margarine, soft, 2 eggs, 1 c. buttermilk and 1 3/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Heat oven to 350°.
Grease bottom only of 8 x 4-inch or 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
In large bowl, combine sugar and margarine; blend thoroughly.
Add eggs; mix well.
Stir in buttermilk. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
Add flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and soda.
Stir just until dry particles are moistened. Stir in nuts.
Pour into pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove from pan, cool completely and slice.
