Sift flour, salt, baking powder and soda into bowl.
Add shortening and cut in with pastry blender.
Add buttermilk and stir.
Turn out onto floured surface.
Knead 1/2 minute.
Roll 3/8-inch thick; brush with melted butter or margarine.
Fold over, press lightly and cut.
Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 450Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
