Buttermilk Biscuits
Buttermilk Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. salt or less (optional) and 2/3 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix dry ingredients.
Add buttermilk and oil, mixing thoroughly into dry ingredients.
Place wax paper on counter and sprinkle lightly with flour.
Take dough and knead thoroughly in hands (8 to 10 times) and place on wax paper and spread by hand to thickness of about 1/2-inch.
Put generous amount of oil in baking pan and turn over so biscuit is coated on each side with oil (cut dough with biscuit cutter).
Place biscuits in pan with minimum space between.
Bake at 450° for 17 to 20 minutes.
Be sure to preheat oven at 450° for about 10 minutes.
