Butter Egg Bread
Butter Egg Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 2 c. warm water, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. salt and 3 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add sugar, salt, 3 cups flour and almond extract.
Mix well.
Add 1 stick melted butter and 1 beaten egg; mix well.
Add another egg and the other 3 cups flour. Knead well; let rise until double in bulk (about 1 hour and 15 minutes).
Knead well again.
Make into loaves; let rise again for 1 hour.
Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then down to 300° for 30 minutes.
Makes 2 loaves.
