Bubble Bread
Bubble Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. milk, 1 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 1 sq. butter and 4 1/2 c. flour, sifted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Scald and cool the milk, shortening and sugar.
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.
Add eggs, then work in flour and salt. Let rise until double in bulk.
Knead down; let stand 10 minutes. Break off dough in balls about the size of walnuts.
Dip in a mixture of the sugar, cinnamon and butter (melted).
Drop in angel food pan; let rise.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 or 50 minutes.
Let cool in pan.
