Bread Pudding
Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 cups milk or 1 cup evaporated milk and 1 cup water, 1 cup diced stale bread, 1 egg, beaten, 1/3 cup white or brown sugar and 3/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Place bread in greased baking dish.
Combine egg, sugar, salt, cinnamon and vanilla.
Add milk, pour over bread.
Dot with butter.
Set in pan of water.
Bake in moderate oven 350Β° 45 to 50 minutes or until knife comes out clean when inserted in center.
Serve with jelly or any desired sauce.
May add 1/2 cup raisins, dates, figs, stewed prunes, apricots coconut or nuts before baking.
