Bread Pudding
Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. soft bread crumbs (use 4 c. for firmer pudding), 2 c. milk, scalded with 1/4 c. butter, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, slightly beaten and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Put bread in 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
Scald milk and butter. Mix eggs, sugar, cinnamon and salt in bowl and blend milk with it. Pour over the bread and stir it in the baking dish.
Stir in the raisins.
Place baking dish in pan of hot water 1-inch deep.
Bake until silver knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Serve warm.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 to 45 minutes.
