Bratten's Clam Chowder
Bratten'S Clam Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 cans minced clams, 1 c. diced celery, 3/4 c. butter, 1 qt. half and half and 1 1/2 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Drain juice from clams and pour over vegetables; add enough water to barely cover and simmer, covered, until potatoes are tender, approximately 20 minutes.
Then melt butter; add flour and blend.
Cook 1 or 2 minutes; add half and half and cook, stirring, until smooth and thick.
Add undrained vegetables and clams; heat through.
Season with salt, pepper and sugar.
