Boston Baked Beans

Wash the beans; soak in the quart of lukewarm water overnight or 6 to 8 hours.
Put beans in a saucepan.
Add salt, mustard, molasses and 3 cups of the boiling water.
Cook until beans reach boiling point, then boil for 3 minutes.
Pour into a casserole.
Spread bacon on top.
Cover and bake at 300Β° for 4 hours, then add remaining 2 cups water and bake 2 hours more.
Uncover the last 1/2 hour of baking to brown the top.
