Boiled Cauliflower(Kokt Blomkaal)
Boiled Cauliflower(Kokt Blomkaal) is an easy dinner. Made with 1 head cauliflower, 2 qt. water (or to cover), 1/2 tsp. salt, 3 tbsp. melted butter and finely chopped parsley, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Remove cauliflower's large outer leaves.
Cut the stalk off to about 1-inch and cut a deep cross on the end to make it cook quicker.
Bring water and salt to boil.
Put cauliflower in, head up, and boil for 3 minutes.
Remove cauliflower from boiling water and pour cold water over it to cool it.
(This keeps the cauliflower white.)
Place cauliflower back into the boiling water, head down this time, and boil for about 20 minutes, being careful not to overcook.
Serve cauliflower on a platter with melted butter poured over it and sprinkled with parsley.
Save water and any leftovers for cauliflower soup.
