Bohemian Kolachy
Bohemian Kolachy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 cake yeast, 1/4 c. lukewarm water, 1 tsp. sugar, 3 c. flour and 2 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Crumble yeast in water with sugar; let stand until dissolved. Mix flour, 2 tablespoons sugar and margarine as for pie crust; add egg yolks, sour cream and yeast.
Knead to soft dough; refrigerate overnight.
Roll out on lightly floured board to about 1/2-inch. Cut small circles with doughnut cutter; put on cookie sheet, rounds touching.
Let rise until double.
Make imprint in center of each and fill with pie filling.
Bake at 375Β° for 25 minutes.
