Blue Bonnet Café Apple Pie
Blue Bonnet Café Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Preheat oven to 400°.
Combine the sugar, flour and spices in a large bowl. Add the apple slices and toss until they are well coated. Fill the crust with the apple slices and dot them with the butter.
Ease the top crust over the filled bottom crust; trim and seal the edges. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape. Bake 1 hour or until crust is golden and the apples test done. Turn off the oven and remove the pie. Gently pour the cream through the slits in the crust. Return the pie to the oven and leave it there about 20 minutes.
