Biscuits
Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. self-rising flour, 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 tsp. baking soda (mix with flour) and 1 c. plus scant of buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix dry ingredients, cutting in shortening until fine crumbs. Add milk and stir with a fork until dough leaves sides of bowl. Turn dough out onto lightly floured board.
Knead just until smooth.
Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut with floured cutter.
Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 450Β° for 10 minutes or until brown.
Makes a dozen biscuits.
