Bette Dierolf's Nut Loaf
Bette Dierolf'S Nut Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt and 2 lb. pitted dates, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Leave nuts and dates whole, do not chop.
Drain cherries; add dates, cherries and nuts.
Cook fruit and nut mixture with flour. Beat eggs and add vanilla.
Mix egg mixture with flour mixture (easiest to do with your hands).
Spoon mixture into 3 (8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch) greased pans.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour.
Slices better if stored for a while.
