Cream butter and sugar until creamy.
Add eggs and beat.
Add milk, salt, vanilla, baking powder and flour, a little at a time, until stiff enough to roll out.
Pinch off dough; roll on floured board.

Grease and flour cake pans or skillet.
Bake in oven until light brown.
Spread each layer with cooked, mashed and sweetened apples.
Leave top layer without apples.
