Beef-up Biscuit Casserole
Beef-Up Biscuit Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1/4 c. diced green peppers or green chiles, 2 tsp. chili powder, 1 can biscuits and 1/2 c. sour cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In frying pan, brown ground beef, onions and green pepper. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic salt.
Simmer while preparing dough.
Separate biscuits; pull apart into 2 layers. Press 10 biscuits, layer over bottom of ungreased 8 or 9-inch square baking pan.
Combine 1/2 cup cheese (reserve remaining cheese for topping), sour cream and egg.
Mix well.
Remove meat mixture from heat; stir in sour cream mixture and spoon over dough. Arrange remaining biscuits on top; sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
Bake at 375Β° for 20 to 30 minutes.
