Bean Soup
Bean Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large ham bone, 1 lb. great northern beans, 1/2 lb. various other beans (pinto, kidney, limas, etc.), 2 onions, chopped and 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Cover ham bone with water in large pot.
Add beans and onions and cook a total of 6 1/2 hours over medium heat.
Add water as needed.
After 4 hours, add tomatoes.
After 5 hours, remove bone. Let cool and pick off remaining ham.
Add ham to soup, along with savory.
Freezes well.
