Mix in whole egg and 3 egg yolks.

Stir in milk.

Cook, uncovered, over boiling water, stirring constantly, until thick. Remove from heat.

Add vanilla and cool.

Beat egg whites until stiff and mixture will form stiff peaks.

Bake in oven at 425Β° for 5 minutes or until browned.
