Banana-Pineapple Salad(Very Rich)
Banana-Pineapple Salad(Very Rich) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. flour, 1 egg, lump of butter (walnut-sized) and 10 1/2 oz. can chunk pineapple, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Drain juice from pineapple.
Reserve juice and add to sugar, flour and egg.
Cook until thick.
Add butter and cool.
Dice pineapple chunks and add to sauce.
Add marshmallows and bananas, thinly sliced.
Whip 1/2 pint cream.
Fold cream into cooked salad and fruit mixture.
Pour into serving bowl.
If desired, sprinkle thinly chopped nuts over top.
Chill thoroughly.
