Banana-Nut Bread
Banana-Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. vegetable shortening, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 c. all-purpose flour and 1 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs and blend well.
Mix flour, soda and salt; add to mixture.
Stir in mashed bananas, walnuts and vanilla.
Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour or until firm.
Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely.
Wrap and let stand for 24 hours.
