Banana Custard Pie
Banana Custard Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pie shell, baked, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. flour, 1/8 tsp. salt and 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Mix sugar, flour, salt and egg yolks.
Pour on scalded milk gradually, stirring constantly.
Cook over medium heat in heavy pan, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Cool and add lemon juice and banana.
Chill thoroughly.
Spoon into pie shell and cover with meringue.
Bake until lightly browned in 450Β° oven for about 3 to 4 minutes.
