Banana Cake
Banana Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 3/4 tsp. baking soda and 1 c. mashed ripe banana, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In a bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add banana, buttermilk, shortening, eggs and vanilla.
Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until combined.
Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes.
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8 x 1 1/2-inch or 9 x 1 1/2-inch round or 1 (9 x 13-inch) oblong pan. Bake in a 350Β° oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool on racks for 10 minutes.
Remove round cakes; cool on racks.
