Baked Cavatelli
Baked Cavatelli is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. corkscrew pasta, cooked and drained, 12 oz. italian sausage links, sliced 1/2 inch, 3/4 c. chopped green onions, 2 cloves garlic and 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Prepare pasta according to directions.
In large skillet cook sausage until no pink remains.
Remove from skillet, reserving 1 tablespoon fat.
Cook green onions and garlic in drippings.
In 2-quart casserole combine pasta, sausage, onion mixture, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, 1/2 of cheese, Italian seasoning and pepper.
Toss to combine.
Bake covered in 375Β° oven for 25 minutes.
Uncover and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
Bake additional 10 minutes.
