Baked Caramel Corn
Baked Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. dark or light corn syrup, 6 qt. popped corn (maybe more) and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Melt butter.
Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
Boil without stirring 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in soda and vanilla.
Pour over popped corn, mixing well.
Turn into 2 large shallow pans (with sides) or roaster pans.
Bake in 250Β° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Remove from oven; cool.
Break apart and store in tightly covered container.
