Aunt Nancy's Rolls
Aunt Nancy'S Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. milk, 5 to 6 tbsp. sugar, 1 stick butter (1/2 c.), 2 small or 1 large egg, slightly beaten and 3 pkg. yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Place butter and sugar in milk.
Heat until butter is melted. Let cool until just warm.
Add yeast/water and eggs.
Add flour gradually and mix, 4 to 5 cups.
Let rest 5 minutes.
Knead until not sticky.
(Keep amount of flour down.) Roll until 3/4-inch thick.
Cut into small rounds.
Pull to flatten.
Slap one side in melted butter.
Fold butter side in, Parker House style.
Put on cookie sheet and let rise until doubled.
Bake at 400Β° for 7 to 8 minutes.
