Aunt Alacia's Chocolate Oat Nut Cake
Aunt Alacia'S Chocolate Oat Nut Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa and 1 c. quick or old-fashioned rolled oats (not instant), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Sift flour, salt, soda and cocoa.
Put oats in a bowl.
Stir in boiling water.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Stir in butter, brown and granulated sugars.
Add eggs and mix well.
Beat in flour mixture and mix well.
Fold in 1/2 the chocolate chips.
Spread in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and nuts on top.
Bake at 350Β° for about 45 minutes.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
