Apple Squash
Apple Squash is an moderately easy dinner. Made with squash, water, salt and pepper, nutmeg and apple, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cut squash in half and remove seed.
Lay squash halves in baking dish.
Fill dish with 1/2 inch water.
Sprinkle inside of squash with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Cut apples into pieces 1 x 1/2 x 1/2-inch.
Fill opening in squash with pieces of apple, raisins, pieces of walnut (fill to almost overflowing).
Put a pat of butter on top and sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg and ground cloves.
Bake, covered, at 400Β° for about 1 hour.
