Apple Pockets
Apple Pockets is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. milk, 3 tbsp. sugar, 2 c. chopped, peeled apples, 1/3 c. chopped walnuts and 1/4 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Put the apples, walnuts, brown sugar, raisins, flour, lemon peel and cinnamon into a bowl.
Mix these together.
Then roll with a rolling pin; roll pastry to 1/8-inch thickness.
Cut into 5-inch circles.
Spoon 1/4 cup of apple mixture into center of circle.
Moisten edges of pastry with few drops of water.
Fold pastry and trim the edges with a fork.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then turn down heat to 400° and bake 10 more minutes.
Brush each with milk and the sugar. Take out of oven.
Then put back into the oven for 5 minutes.
It makes 10 to 12 servings.
