Apple Crumb Pie
Apple Crumb Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. soft butter or margarine, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. sifted flour, pinch of salt and 5 c. sliced tart apples, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix together the flour, sugar and salt.
Cut in the butter. Set aside 3/4 cup of this crumbly mixture.
Press the remainder of this mixture into a 9-inch pie pan.
Combine the apples, 3 tablespoons flour, 1 cup sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Arrange in the pie shell.
Bake at 425Β° for 20 minutes.
Then sprinkle with the reserved crumbs and continue to bake for 20 to 30 minutes longer until browned.
