Apple Crisp Pie

Toss peeled and sliced apples with 2 tablespoons sugar and fill pastry shell, rounding up in center. Combine 3/4 cup sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt.
Mix in butter with fingertips until granular.
Sprinkle evenly over apples.
Bake 15 minutes in a preheated 425° oven. Reduce heat to 350° and bake another 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with whipped cream.
